The University of Texas at El Paso Flute Choir “Las Flautistas” led by Dr. Mafer Guglielmina, is comprised of UTEP flute music majors, applied minors, non-music majors, as well as high school students, band directors, community members, and UTEP flute studio alumni. The ensemble features the entire flute family, including piccolos, C flutes, alto and bass flutes. Las Flautistas presents a variety of concerts every year, and has recently been invited to perform at the 14th Annual New Mexico Pumpkin Festival in Mesilla Valley Maze, and has also performed programs at previous National Flute Association conventions in San Antonio TX and Chicago IL, between others.
